The Taste of Americana
Like the music genre of the same name, the menu at PerJax is influenced by regional flavors and styles. Southern, Big River, Creole/Cajun, Southwest and Caribbean notes come together to provide a unique dining experience. Our dishes are made from scratch with quality ingredients, sourced locally when possible. We even use herbs from our own garden, as well as a little patch you may notice at the entrance to our restaurant. At PerJax, we subscribe to the philosophy that food is best when flavors from great ingredients are layered and given time to develop depth. Of course, you need to put away your phone to notice. We just want you to love eating our food as much as we love making it for you.
All About Repurposed Materials
Sleek, modern materials and décor are not to be found at PerJax! From our chicken feeder-turned-light fixtures to our reclaimed barn wood tabletops and corrugated roofing-covered bar front, we are putting the casual in upscale casual. The nicely worn terrazzo floors in the main dining room are original to the building which opened as Reed’s Drugstore in 1928. We couldn’t bear the thought of covering them.
